Sam Biern started making buttons in 1933 and for 28 years his company,  Sam Biern Inc. manufactured buttons, buckles, ornaments and costume jewelry.  His company was located at 260 West 39th Street, New York City.

He designed from sketch and followed through to the finish.  He made his own molds and placed his name on every Sam Biern button created.
